27th Sunday In Ordinary Time

Dear Friends,

The month of October is dedicated to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. All Christians are encouraged to pray the Rosary daily in public as a group and in private as individuals because the Blessed Virgin Mary is our strongest advocate before Jesus, who always pleads for our cause. Moreover whenever our Blessed Mother appeared, appeared in different parts of the world, she asked us to pray the Holy Rosary for the conversion of souls and for the destruction of sin.

Some Catholics will say that Rosary is not in the Bible but the faithful Catholics will say that the Bible is in the Holy Rosary, because in the Holy Rosary we meditate and contemplate 20 principal virtues which Jesus and Mary practiced in the Twenty Mysteries of the Holy Rosary.

Writing on the mysteries of Jesus Christ and mysteries of His mother, Pope John Paul II says, “the Holy Rosary is one of the traditional paths of Christian prayer directed to the contemplation of Jesus Christ’s face. Pope Paul VI described it in these words: “As a gospel prayer, centered on the mysteries of the redemptive incarnation, the Holy Rosary is a prayer with a clearly Christological orientation. It’s most characteristic element, in fact, the litany – like succession of Hail Marys, becomes in itself an unceasing praise of Jesus Christ, who is the ultimate object both of the Angel’s announcement and of the greeting of the mother of John the Baptist’s “Blessed is the fruit of your womb” (Lk.1:42). We would go further and say that the succession of Hail Marys constitutes the warp on which is woven the contemplation of the mysteries. The Jesus that each Hail Mary recalls the same Jesus whom the succession of mysteries proposes to us now as the Son of God, now as the Son of the Virgin.” ( from the Apostolic Letter Rosarium Virginis Mariae of the supreme Pontiff John Paul II to the Bishops & Clergy and Faithful of the Most Holy Rosary.)

The church has always given the importance to pray the Holy Rosary. It is the easiest as well as the most suited prayer in every stage and occasion of life. The Family that prays together the Rosary daily, stays together and there is so much joy and peace, we must start praying the Rosary. Holy Rosary is the prayer of the Family and for the family. Our Blessed Mother will bless you and intercede for you. Let us receive the Maternal blessing of our Blessed Mother and enjoy joy and peace in our lives.

May God bless you all!
