Dear Friends:

This week we celebrate All Saints and All Souls Day. The two days remind us that being Christians we belong to a greater community than the one we experience here on earth.

Martyr’s and confessors, rulers and doctors of the Church, devoted ministers of religious brethren, kings of the earth and all people, princes, judges of the earth, young men and women, old men and children , gathered each in his own time into the paradise of God, as Cardinal John Henry Newman puts it: “we already belong to that communion of saints. We believe and hope that one day we will join them for ever. Our own personal death is the door to eternal life in the presence of God. We enter through Christ. There is no other way. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is our Teacher, our Instructor, our Leader. He leads us to our true Father in heaven. He leads us by being our servant and yet he is our King, the King of everlasting glory.”

Let us follow him as faithfully as all the saints followed him, so that his glory may be ours one day.

Visits to the Blessed Sacrament and Praying for your deceased loved ones and all the deceased, during this week are encouraged and we urge you to attend our All Souls Mass on Friday evening at 7pm.
