Volunteer Screening Process – Final Follow-Up

Thank you to all parish volunteers who have completed their screening paperwork. The deadline for submission has now passed.

Volunteers who are currently out of town and have already informed the parish office of their intention to continue serving will be included in the volunteer roster and can complete their paperwork upon return.

If you have not yet communicated with the parish office and still wish to continue serving in your ministry, please contact the parish office no later than June 10 with your full name, ministry, and best contact phone number.

After June 10, volunteers who have not responded will not be included in the updated parish volunteer database and active ministry roster. Further steps for Police Information Checks, Praesidium training, and any additional requirements will be communicated in the coming weeks.

Homebound Parishioners

Homebound parishioners needing the Sacraments are asked to call the parish office at 403-252-2790.

Tea with the Sisters

Knowledge-Sharing Symposium on the Doctrine of Discovery

CCCB gathering held May 26 to 29, 2026 in Edmonton

The CCCB hosted a Knowledge-Sharing Symposium on the Doctrine of Discovery, bringing together Indigenous leaders, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, scholars, bishops, theologians, and participants from several countries.

The gathering examined historical and legal impacts of colonization on Indigenous Peoples, the Church’s involvement in that history, and ways to support truth, accountability, healing, and the common good.

Ignite Junior Calgary

Wednesday, August 5 to Friday, August 7, 2026 | St. Mary’s University

Ignite Junior is a Catholic summer camp for youth in Grades 6 to 8, designed to help them grow in their relationship with Jesus while spending time with friends.

Camp runs from 1:00 pm to 8:30 pm each day. Campers return home or to their own accommodations each evening. Registration deadline: July 29, 2026.

Alberta Life Issues Educational Society, a lay association in the Diocese of Calgary, will be distributing posters and pamphlets in Calgary to share information about life-affirming support services for women considering abortion.
